I have been waiting for Max Scherzer to break out for 2 years now. The guy has always had awesome stuff, just couldn't put it together. I'm happy to see that he has this year. Him and Verlander are absolute buzz saws at the top of that Detroit rotation. How they haven't pulled 5 or 6 games ahead of Chicago in the AL Central blows my mind.
I have never followed the AL as closely as I do the NL, so I was unaware that Max Scherzer was such a beast. He'll have a fun card for those of us that like to gas people. Verlander as a 3 control, 1-18 out who can go 8 IP is ALMOST as good as his 2011 card, especially if we take into consideration points. Overall, looks like another year of the pitcher...
