#TriviaThursday - 4/9/15

@JMoeller5 appears to know his MLB Showdown stuff.  Last week, he was the first to post the correct answer to the question:

Between the 2000 and 2001 sets of MLB Showdown, there was one pitcher with more Out(GB) on his chart than any other pitcher with 10 (that's right, TEN).  Name the pitcher.

The correct answer was Jimmy Anderson ('01).  If you have the defense behind him, might not be a bad choice for a 3 or 4 starter, despite only being a Control 1, 5 IP starter.

This week, we are going to again go with an MLB Showdown related question.  It would be very easy to look up, but I want you to think about it and give it a shot without doing a quick web search:
Of all #1 Overall picks in the history of the MLB Amateur Draft, how many had at least one MLB Showdown card in either the 2000 or 2001 sets?
1) All questions will be baseball questions, sometimes relating directly to MLB Showdown, but not always.
2) While it is impossible to regulate this, please refrain from using an internet search engine to find the answer.  If you know it, congratulations!  If you have a fairly educated guess, give it a shot.  We ask for your honesty in following this guideline.
3) Twitter answers must include the hashtag #TriviaThursday and be sent to me @RokTikiTiki in order to be counted.  Those sent to @MLBShowdownGuru do not count.
4) If no correct guess is made by the following Wednesday at noon ET, there will be no winner for that week.  A hint will be added on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday until there is a correct guess or the Wednesday deadline is reached.

Current Standings:
@JMoeller5 - 7
@kris_barnes7 - 3
@Averey25 - 3

  1. Hint #1:
    Our first (and only guess) of the day yesterday was too low. That guess was 10.

  2. Hint #2:
    The oldest 1st overall pick with a card is Harold Baines from 1977. The most recent 1st overall pick with a card was Pat Burrell from 1998.

  3. Hint #3:
    One of the picks, Matt Anderson, holds the key to this little mystery.
