#TriviaThursday - 6/25/15

Well, @kris_barnes7 just won't let @JMoeller5 run away with this.  Each of the last three times @JMoeller5 got the #TriviaThursday point, @kris_barnes7 has gotten the point the following week.  Last week, the same happened as @kris_barnes7 answered correctly that Andy Pettitte had the most wins of any pitcher in the decade of 2000-20009.  With half the year still left, this is still far from a two-horse race.
I took a round-about way to get to this week's trivia question.  In light of recent events, I wanted to find a good trivia question about Darryl Hamiltion.  In my searching, I discovered that Hamilton's teammate in 1998 and 1999, Darryl Kile, had passed away two days short of 13 years earlier.  Not finding a good trivia question on either of them (other than the nugget that both the year before and the year after Kile pitched for Colorado, he was an All-Star and 5th in Cy Young voting...), I looked back at the Colorado Rockies brief history for a showdown-related trivia question:

The first regular season game for the Colorado Rockies was April 5th, 1993.  That game featured 9 players who had a 2000 and/or 2001 MLB Showdown card.  Of those 9, 3 had a foil card.  Name the three.

1) All questions will be baseball questions, sometimes relating directly to MLB Showdown, but not always.
2) While it is impossible to regulate this, please refrain from using an internet search engine to find the answer.  If you know it, congratulations!  If you have a fairly educated guess, give it a shot.  We ask for your honesty in following this guideline.
3) Twitter answers must include the hashtag #TriviaThursday and be sent to me @RokTikiTiki in order to be counted.  Those sent to @MLBShowdownGuru do not count.
4) If no correct guess is made by the following Wednesday at noon ET, there will be no winner for that week.  A hint will be added on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday until there is a correct guess or the Wednesday deadline is reached.

Current Standings:
@JMoeller5 - 10
@kris_barnes7 - 6
@Averey25 - 3
@CKiritz - 1
@TweeterLeGrand - 1

  1. Nice question today, it is a tough one. I have a good idea about the first two players. The third one is giving me some problems..
