MLB Showdown: Hall of Fame
We had
another interesting move this past week for #shotsfriday. @Tomwyliehart pulled
it off yet again for the third straight week going deep. He actually forfeited his
Miguel Cabrera pick to pick up Puig from the Dodgers. That puts him tied for
the lead with 3 and gives him 1 for Puig. Remember the reward this year is
going to be 3 custom cards of your choosing for winning. I am also saying 2
customs for second place and 1 for third place. Remember to send in your votes
for who you think will hit a homer this Friday on twitter or in the comments
and enjoy some fist pumping music and your favorite work appropriate beverage.
Many of
you are familiar with the MLB Hall of Fame. We around here have decided to run
our own MLB Showdown Hall of Fame. The criteria is this: Cards you enjoyed.
This can mean cards you thought were the most dominant. They could be cards
that you had success with. Cards you thought were great representations of
great players. Whatever reason you remembered a card feel free to vote. This is
how we are going to run the Hall of Fame around here.
1:
Everyone is allowed to vote using Twitter or comments on the blog once per
year. Every person gets 5 votes per year for 5 different players. Remember when
voting to state the players first and last name and the year of the card you
wish to vote for. Every year you may vote for the same players. You may also
vote for the same player from multiple years.Votes reset after the MLB Hall of
Fame voting has finished for that year. All players from the 2000,2001,2009,
2010,2011, 2012 sets as well as our custom cards are currently eligible.
2: The
first 10 players to receive 5 votes will be entered into the Hall of Fame. The
next 10 to receive 6 votes will be entered. With each 10 members needing 1 more
vote than the 10 before.
